Within my General Dentistry practice I have established a
Halitosis Treatment Center. We use a Halimeter to measure and
locate the source of VSC responsible for most cases of bad
breath. We have also found, by using a phase-contrast microscope,
that we can often identify specific forms of bacteria that may be
responsible for creating VSC's. Once these bacteria have been
confirmed, we continue to monitor the patient for control or
elimination of the "bugs" to make sure the odor
problems do not easily return. We have been using this treatment
successfully for the past year.
